Katie Francis, MSW, LCSW/LICSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She specializes in individual therapy with children (ages 6 and up), adolescents, and adults.  Her areas of interest include treating individuals experiencing issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief/loss, self-harm, attention and impulse control difficulties, mood difficulties, and adjusting to life changes. She has experience working with first responders and survivors of trauma. 

Ms. Francis is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.  She has received training in play therapy and incorporates the use of directive and non-directive play therapy approaches, sand tray, and art-based interventions in her work. 

Ms. Francis completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead and her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Minnesota. She has 15 years of experience in the mental health field including outpatient therapy, school-based services, day treatment, in-home therapy, and crisis services.
