Erin Haugen, PhD, LP, CMPC, is a Licensed Psychologist with proficiency in sport psychology (Sport Psychologist). She is passionate about performance psychology, athlete mental health, interprofessional practice, and professional well-being.

Dr. Haugen has a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of North Dakota (UND) and is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at River Valley Services/Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, CT and post-doctoral residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.

Dr. Haugen specializes in working with elite athletes at the Junior, collegiate, Olympic, and professional levels. She consults with athletic departments, works with sport teams, and provides corporate training services within various high-performing industries, including but not limited to healthcare, sports, higher education, and construction.

Dr. Haugen is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Dakota. She provides mental health and performance psychology instruction to sports medicine fellows in physical therapy and athletic training students. She provides consultation and mentorship for professionals interested in enhancing their work with athletes or pursuing the CMPC credential.

Dr. Haugen is the Director of Continuing Education and Training at ATAGF. She presents frequently on topics related to psychological aspects of sport performance, athlete mental health, interprofessional practice, professional well-being, and ethics in psychological practice. In her spare time, Dr. Haugen competes as a cyclist (gravel & road) and enjoys spending time with her husband and herding mix rescue dogs.
