Continuing Education & Training
ATAGF provides evidence-based education to behavioral health and medical professionals in our community. We offer a rich and diverse calendar of professional continuing education workshops.
Psychologists:
Assessment and Therapy Associates of Grand Forks, PLLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Assessment and Therapy Associates of Grand Forks, PLLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Athletic Trainers:
Assessment and Therapy Associates of Grand Forks, PLLC, is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc to offer continuing education to Certified Athletic Trainers.
Social Workers Licensed in North Dakota:
ATAGF is approved by the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners (NDBSWE) to sponsor continuing education for social workers in North Dakota (approval through 4/5/26, provider #P-217).
ADDICTION COUNSELORS LICENSED IN NORTH DAKOTA:
ATAGF is an approved continuing education provider for the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners (NDBACE).
oTHER PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES:
Each course lists course-specific approvals on our website and registration pages. We typically seek approval from the North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners (NDBCE) and other entities as applicable.

Most courses are co-sponsored by Haugen Performance Consulting, PLLC (HPC). Courses that they co-sponsor are hosted on their website, which is also where you will complete the course registration and access content (links to live webinars or on-demand/recorded videos).

We co-sponsor several in-person courses and webinars (live & on-demand) with Haugen Performance Consulting, PLLC (HPC) . Each registration page lists continuing education approvals. Some courses are offered to North Dakota residents for free or significantly reduced fee thanks to funding received by HPC.

Continuing education courses with topics including but not limited to ethics, clinical practice (EFT, ACT), supervision, athlete mental health, DEIB, and more.

Courses to help you understand mental health and well-being factors within your profession. Continuing education approvals for various disciplines, including but not limited to ND POST.

BOC-approved courses with topics on athlete mental health, psychology of sport injury, mental health emergency action planning (MHEAP), and more.
mental performance consultants
Continuing education for Certified Mental Performance Consultants®. Topics include psychology of injury, supervision/mentorship, athlete mental health, and more.

Courses to help you understand mental health and well-being factors within your profession. Continuing education approvals for various disciplines.
Couples
Relationship education workshops centered on the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model. These programs are taught by experienced EFT therapists, including Dave Jackson, PhD, LP.
Coaches
Courses for coaches to help you improve your own performance and optimize well-being. We also offer courses related to athlete mental health and performance psychology tailored for coaches.
Athletes
Training courses for athletes to help you be mentally ready after injury, learn to deal with changes in sport, optimize performance, and prioritize your own well-being.
